Because we realize that hiring and training a new employee is an investment of time and money for your business, SWAPTE wants to help you keep more of your hard-earned profits by helping you pay to train new employees. On-the-Job Training is geared toward businesses that wish to hire quality people who are willing to train and learn the skills needed in your business. SWAPTE invests directly in your business because the success of your business also means a better economy.
SWAPTE leverages your business investment to make it pay off. With On-the-Job Training, we will pay up to 50 percent of the cost to train an eligible new hire from 11 to 26 weeks. We help you streamline your hiring process by sending the most qualified applicants. You have no obligation to hire the applicants we send, but once you do hire an On-the-Job Training applicant we work with you to ensure your new employee’s success. Both for-profit and non-profit businesses may receive On-the-Job Training assistance.
Our mission at SWAPTE is to help businesses create, retain and maintain jobs that ensure sustained economic growth. Our goal is to give local businesses the means to grow, become more productive, and compete effectively. By focusing our investments in job creation and retention, SWAPTE adds value to your business and ensures the long-term growth of the economy in southwest Alabama.
